Educational Presentations

Educational Presentation

ILACSD offers educational presentations for adopting groups to complement their participation in the program. Through these presentations, ILACSD is able to convey in-person the important safety and logistical information about conducting cleanups in addition to illustrating the value of their volunteerism within the bigger picture of our marine environment.

These presentations can be done either on-site at your first cleanup or beforehand in a classroom or office. Presentations on average are 20 minutes and can be adjusted to cater to adopters ranging from elementary school children to corporate groups.

How to Request a Presentation

Upon registering for the Adopt-A-Beach program, you will have the option to check off that your group would like to have an educational presentation. Our staff will email a confirmation of your request and coordinate with your group the details regarding the presentation. You can also simply contact ILACSD in the weeks leading up to your cleanup to request a presentation. Presentations are dependent on staff availability.
